SVG vs JPG

JPG works almost everywhere, including older apps and upload forms that reject PNG, but it can’t hold transparency, so transparent areas turn white. For a logo on a coloured background that’s usually fine; for a logo you’ll place on other designs, choose PNG instead.

About the two formats

SVG

SVG describes shapes, lines and text as drawing instructions instead of pixels, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size and is often tiny. The catch is that many places, such as social media profiles, email signatures and some upload forms, only accept regular images like PNG or JPG.

JPG

JPG is the default format for photos. It throws away detail the eye barely notices to keep files small, and every device made in the last 30 years can open it.

How to sVG to JPG

  1. 1Add your SVG files.
  2. 2Adjust the quality if you like.
  3. 3Download the JPG files.

Questions

Do my files get uploaded?

No. SVG to JPG runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device. Close the tab and they're gone.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no daily limits and no watermark on your files.

Why is the background white?

JPG can’t store transparency, so FileFleet fills it with white. Choose SVG to PNG to keep it transparent.
